High density polyethylene (HDPE) double wall corrugated pipe is a new type of pipe with a ring structure outer wall and a smooth inner wall, which was first developed in Germany in the early 1980s.
After more than ten years of development and improvement, it has developed from a single variety to a complete product series. At present, the production process and the use of technology have been very mature.
Due to its excellent performance and relatively economic cost, it has been greatly promoted and applied in developed countries such as Europe and the United States.
In our country, the promotion and application of HDPE double-wall corrugated pipe is in the rising stage, and the technical indicators have reached the use standard.
The inner wall color of the double-wall bellows is usually blue and black, and some brands will use yellow.
The basic differences between double-wall bellows and single-arm bellows are as follows:
1. Application
Plastic double-wall corrugated pipe can be widely used in heavy load conditions such as highway, slope, golf course drainage, permeation; Municipal sewage discharge; Communication, power supply cable bushing and other occasions.
Single wall corrugated pipe can be widely used in golf courses, sports fields and other light load conditions such as drainage, water permeability; Interior decoration wire sleeve; Automobile wire sleeve; Prestressed anchor cable casing; Air conditioner drain pipe and so on.
2. Performance
Under the same strength and stiffness requirements, the double-wall corrugated pipe saves 30%-50% of materials compared with ordinary plastic pipes, has better technical economy, convenient transportation and installation, reduces the labor intensity of construction personnel, and also reduces the total investment of the project, but the winding degree is small.
3, weight and ring stiffness
HDPE double-wall bellows are much heavier and higher than single-wall bellows, and double-wall bellows are much higher than single-wall ring stiffness.
