HDPE, also known as high-density polyethylene, is a common plastic material that has good physical properties and chemical stability, and has a high density and good impact resistance. By recycling HDPE waste, we can reduce the dependence on original resources and reduce environmental pollution. After the recovered HDPE waste is processed, it can be remade into various plastic products to realize the recycling of resources. Recycled HDPE particles are widely used in various packaging, containers, pipes and building materials. With the improvement of environmental protection awareness, the recycling of HDPE has been paid more and more attention.

HDPE recycling mainly has the following ways:

1, recycling: the recycled HDPE after cleaning → crushing → granulation and other treatment, re-made into plastic products, such as plastic drums, pipes and so on.

2, energy recovery: the recovered HDPE is incinerated, and the heat generated can be used for power generation or heating.

3, chemical recovery: the recovered HDPE is chemically treated, decomposed into monomers or low molecular weight polymers, and then reused.

Some specific applications of HDPE:

1, packaging containers: such as food packaging bags, beverage bottles, shampoo bottles, etc. Due to their good impact resistance and sealing, these containers are able to maintain the freshness and hygiene of food and liquids.

2, closed channel system: HDPE pipeline system is widely used in water supply, drainage, sewage treatment, farmland irrigation and other fields, its good pressure resistance and corrosion resistance to ensure the quality of the pipeline system is more safe and reliable.

3, building materials :HPPE can be made into a variety of building materials, such as waterproof coil, roof materials and so on. These materials have good durability and aging properties, which can extend the service time of buildings.

4, auto parts: HDPE is used to manufacture auto parts, such as fuel tanks, fenders, etc. These products have good wear resistance and impact resistance, which can extend the service life of auto parts.

5, agricultural supplies: The agricultural film made of HDPE has good light transmission, heat preservation and drip resistance, which can effectively improve the yield and quality of crops.

In short, HDPE, as an important plastic material, has a wide range of applications in various fields, and the use of recycled HDPE materials is also quite extensive. The recycling of HDPE can not only reduce the pollution of plastic waste to the environment, but also save resources and energy.

Regarding the identification of HDPE, it can be judged by observing the triangular recycling mark of plastic products. If there is a number "2" or "HDPE" in the logo, it means that the plastic product is made of HDPE.

The European Plastics Recycling Association (PRE) has developed "Recyclable" design guidelines to help packaging designers measure all aspects of packaging design against industry-accepted standards to ensure it truly meets recycling requirements.

China Synthetic Resin Association group standards "polyethylene terephthalate (PET) container packaging products recyclable design Guide", "High density polyethylene (HDPE) container packaging products recyclable recycling design Guide" and its recyclable recycling design evaluation project, officially released on March 31, 2022, the standard will start from the source design, It plays a direct guiding role in the recycling and recycling of plastic products, promotes the plastic recycling economy, and helps the realization of China's "double carbon" goal.
