PE is a kind of synthetic resin with simple structure and wide application, which is synthesized by ethylene addition polymerization. According to different polymerization methods, PE with different densities can be obtained, such as low density polyethylene (LDPE), high density polyethylene (HDPE) and linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE), ultra high molecular weight polyethylene, molecular weight and branched chain controllable metallocene polyethylene and other products.

Polyethylene can be processed by the general thermoplastic molding method, and is widely used, mainly used to manufacture films, packaging materials, containers, pipes, wires and cables, daily necessities, etc., and can be used as high-frequency insulation materials for television, radar, etc. LDPE, LLDPE, and HDPE are the main types. PE is mainly used in the production of agricultural, food and industrial packaging film, wire and cable coating and so on.
